The app, which launched on the Apple App Store today 04 March, is a simple tool for musicians and tour managers to simply organise their upcoming gig schedule.
The app offers a means of editing set-lists for future shows, and automatically calculates which songs from the artist’s repertoire can fit the time available. All created gig information can be generated into a worksheet and emailed directly to all band members - unlimited gigs and songs can be created, and all past gigs stored for reference. Gig information can also be used to post directly to social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter, keeping fans up to date with tour progress.
iGig, sold on the app store for £2.79, was designed and developed by Propeller Group - specialists in PR, internet and mobile - for Manifesto Music.
Ryan Malone, Digital Director at Propeller said “This has been a great step for Propeller, we can see a very clear shift in direction in the desire and need for functional usable apps that connect “people with people”. With the App Store now reaching maturity it puts Propeller in a good place as it looks to roll out its new suite of apps, specifically those aimed towards companies organising conferences, festivals and events - helping them increase engagement and revenue.”
