ROLE OVERVIEW:
The new PR Account Director will join our PR team of eight people and be one of the three who head up our work for our growing list of clients in the media, digital and technology space. A proven ability to deliver sparkling PR results (in traditional media, events and online) for B2B businesses is essential, as is the ability to manage and motivate the supporting team on each account.
Propeller specialises in PR for the media, marketing and digital industries. Due to an increase in business particularly from the digital media sector, we are looking for a talented B2B Account Director (or established SAM ready to make the leap) to run a portfolio of three or four clients.
Clients could include: a digital ad agency, a network business, a gaming business and a media owner.
We make our clients’ products, people and ideas famous using traditional B2B PR/media relations and, increasingly, social media and SEO. We also provide events and face to face communication. Our PropellerMobile team develops mobile apps for business use and we have published five so far which differentiates us nicely.
You’ll be accomplished at B2B PR and understand what both the trade media and national business pages require. You’ll also be used to leveraging the conference circuit and enjoy networking.
Everyone on the PR team at Propeller works on new business and you will work with the CEO on interpreting briefs, pitching proposals and winning clients that expand your own portfolio.
We welcome new ideas and suggestions to broaden our client portfolio and deepen the range of profitable services we provide for them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Own and run a portfolio of clients
·        Come up with ideas that meet and then beat client expectations
·        Pitch and win new business
·        Take on at least one additional role, such as ensuring our office looks great or our contacts with national journalists are as good as they can be

KEY EXPERIENCE/QUALIFIERS

·         At least five years B2B PR experience
·         At least two of those in role where you have lead or played significant role in delivering results
·         Knowledge and understanding of traditional media industry (newspapers, magazines, TV)
·         Knowledge and use of social media (both personally and as a PR tool)
